WE DID IT!

Sharing some gorgeous celebration art by our artist Mors first:

The Sappy Part

The game has been not only fully funded, but in a last minute clutch, we also made it to Malthus route. I don't know what to say, so I wanted to think on it a little bit before making this post.

I've mentioned it so many times, but I've always, always wanted to make an otome. I loved playing pacthesis games, (although my first was called 'my cup of tea' if you want to um, date all the way back to that.) Then after smartphones were invented and Voltage entered the market, I begged for little itunes cards so I could ration them out and get a route every once in a while, while I was still in school.

After that I played re:Alistair by sakevisual and was like what is this! And discovered just how people made their own. Of course, I didn't think I had what I needed to do it. After years of writing, being an artist, I thought that I'd finally go forward with this little idea for Salvus I came up with at the end of 2020?

It's not an easy task, but with the blessing of a few good conventions and the help of my parents, I managed to recruit just the right people, who executed what I wanted down to the t. I searched for an artist for Salvus for a year, and the second I came across Mors's art, I fell in love and knew immediately.

I'm blessed that the people I work with have become my friends, invaluable people I enjoy working with, and wouldn't trade for the world, and hope for a bright future together with everyone.

I know everyone who works with me is super talented, but still I have been absolutely blown away by all of your support. All of your kind comments, your shares on social media, the love you have for Salvus. I'm honored and touched that you guys also enjoy the story too (because I know every bit of art, GUI, music, acting, coding is incredible), and that the characters can become dear to you too.

Special shoutout to the Malthus stans who shilled hard down to the wire. I will never forget your service while I managed to finally sleep.

Thank you guys for working just as hard, and being so kind, and so supportive overall. I've always known the otome community is supportive, but to experience it like this is really touching.

Alpha Access Peeps

Please join discord, and send me a DM on discord with a proof of purchase, and I'll give you the role to join our channel! It'll be much faster than waiting for backerkit things to start and process. I'll get back to you within 24 hours at the latest.

Backerkit?

Kickstarter needs a couple weeks to disburse funds, after checking credit card statuses, taking away fees, and all that other wonderful and painful stuff. I'll be setting it up after that, and going to keep it open until about near the end of January (so I can count and start ordering merch right afterwards). You'll be able to add on things there as well.

I've been informed that Caym and Lucien charms, some of them cost more. I will try to adjust shipping to make up for those where possible, otherwise I'll be sending stickers to make up for it.

What Next?

I'll be contacting the backers for the bigger tiers next week! Don't worry, you don't have to come up with ideas yet, but just to establish base so we can go together from there.

I do have an important one off exam on Monday (coughs, I had to put it aside to focus on the demo and KS, oops) and a bit of con crunching to do (if anyone is at Holmat, I will be there! Going to try and design smol Salvus merch, and a couple of freebies), but after that, I'll be working on the Steam build, since our page finally got approved (they were not happy about the kickstarter mention in the trailer, but didn't mention that until the second revision, smh). Going to see what voice lines I'm missing, and going to implement those back in. My friend has remastered most of the vocals I do have implemented, so also going to be working on a fix with that (and going to re-upload on itch once it's all done).

If you could wishlist the Steam page,  we'd be super grateful! It helps the algorithm a lot.

The first Patreon post will go up this weekend! I'm going to be walking through the demo process, starting with conceptualizing characters, discussing how they were made (without spoiling the future parts of the game). Patreon graphics are currently in the works. It's in soft launch mode because graphics are in the works, and has only one tier at the moment, but I will be posting dev content every week, if there's any interest for that!

And I'm going to start writing out Caym's chapter 1 once I wrap all those other things up too! I've been waffling over how to start the chapter.

But what about Lucien Route?

I've moved his stretch goal down, just for the Lucien Lovers,  to be the next thing to aim for.

I've set up a ko-fi shop for the people who only have paypal as an option (or I suppose people who didn't realize Salvus was a thing until just now, which is totally fair.) I've offered the Malthus (and possible Lucien dlc, if we can make the funds) for free for them until Dec 10, to keep it fair for Kickstarter backers, and the trade off is that they need to pay for the tiers and shipping and such upfront. Although the store will be open till January 20.

The secret pdf preorder is hosted here, however.

And that's that for now! Next post here will be for backers only.

Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart, and I can't wait for the full game to bloom. I couldn't have done without any of you.

Final day! Another stretch goal reached! Malthus comes closer and closer... (And have some pretty Seir/Aina art)

LETS GOOOO!!!!

Thank you for an amazing campaign, and all your patience and advice as I battle with the KS interface--I've added Patreon as suggested, trying to see if my designer can get us a little subheader for the KS campaign page before it ends. I didn't expect people to actually sign up for it yet (since I'm still getting the graphics currently set up for it, and we won't have spicy content/higher tier until early next year), so I'm really touched! I'll start posting content this weekend on there,  if anyone is interested. It'll start from initial planning, and each week I'll post more dev thoughts/process etc through the demo, and then beyond.
